VR Paintings™ is an app created by Dave Alber at http://davealber.com.
VR Paintings™app is a Virtual Reality VR gallery app for viewing VR paintings or VR art. The interface of VR Paintings™ app is called The Floating Gallery™. Visitors use this gallery to view Hybrid VR Paintings™. These paintings are physical paintings that actually exist in the real world. However, within the virtual world of the VR Paintings™ app, they become fully immersive VR realities.
Furthermore, within the VR Paintings™ app virtual reality environment each painting becomes a compositional playground, rich with endless possibilities for the curious viewer.
VR Paintings app is available at Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
However, The Floating Gallery™ is best experienced from the VR Paintings™ app using your mobile phone or your VR headset.

The Floating Gallery™:
The Floating Gallery™ is the fully immersive VR environment where visitors interact with VR paintings. An online version is HERE. However, the VR Paintings™ app has far more interactivity.
Hybrid VR Paintings™:
Within The Floating Gallery™, each Hybrid VR Painting™ may be experienced as an interactive 360° environment. In other words, with VR technology, you can fully enter into each painting and experience the painted world as an immersive 360° space.
Simulation:
Click the image below to see a simulation. (NOTE:The VR Paintings™ app and The Floating Gallery™ have far more functionality. This is just a simulation.)
Compositional Playground:
Within the VR Paintings™ app‘s Floating Gallery™, in addition to each painting being an interactive 360° environment… each painting is also a compositional playground for the viewer to interact with. (This works especially well with using the app without a headset and choosing touch control.) By zooming in and out and adjusting the space, the curious viewer can create an unlimited number of new painted compositions. On the iPhone… you can take screenshots of your compositional playground images by pressing and holding the power button on the right side and clicking the home button at the exact same time. As one client told me, “Exploring the compositional playground is like painted jazz.”
